Calls routed through a call queue will not preserve caller ID
April 19, 2012, affects SMB 5.5.x
Calls routed through a call queue containing member extensions with call rules to cascade / ringall AND preserve caller ID will not preserve caller ID, but will used the caller ID set on the trunk of the outbound provider.
Workaround: There is no workaround currently.
Parking and Queue LED Indicators not working for Agent Login Extensions that affect all queues
April 4, 2012, affects SMB 5.5.2 and earlier
Queue LED Indicators are not working properly where the Agent Login Extension is set to affect all queues.
Workaround: Set up Agent Login Extensions for specific queues.
RTP Port Range outside of 10000-20000 disrupts internal calling
November 11, 2011, affects: SMB 5.1.2 v40062 and later
If the RTP Port Range is set to anything other than 10000 to 20000, there is no audio on internal calls.
Workaround: Set the range as 10000 to 20000.
SP1 on Windows 7 causes Switchvox fax printer to stop working
(Not related to a specific Switchvox version)
SP1 causes printing to stop sending authentication, so Switchvox declines to print the file. This issue, including a temporary workaround, is documented here in Microsoft's forum.
Network Interface: issues using ETH1
ETH1 should not be used. It can be an issue for several reasons: it can cause issues when combined with NAT port forwarding; some VOIP providers have registration issues when ETH1 is used; it can cause issues with Switchvox's Phone Setup.
Faxes display blank pages
August 31, 2010 affects: SMB 4.5.3 v23695
Certain faxes will display blank pages when opened in some versions of Adobe Acrobat, particularly recent versions.
Workaround: This is not a problem if you are using Adobe Acrobat 8.2, or another viewer such as Foxit or Evince. Adobe Acrobat 8.2 sometimes reports an error "insufficent data to display image," although the page does display once you click OK.
Faxing over T.38 is inconsistent
June 24, 2010 affects: SMB 4.5.1.1 v22869 and later
We are working hard to improve the quality of faxing over T.38, but various provider's interpretations of the standard have presented challenges. Workaround: Switchvox SMB version 23120 (4.5.2) includes several new fax options for a channel (Fax Buffer Policy), and for a SIP provider (Fax Detection, Error Correction Mode for T.38 Faxes, Initiate T.38 re-invite after timeout, Enable Audio Failover). If you are still experiencing difficulty faxing over a SIP provider using T.38, we recommend that you use fax over an analog or PRI channel.
